Yesterday Daniel woke up complaining of a headache. I took one look at him and my blood froze. His left eye was so droopy that he couldnt even open it half way. He looked so worn out and confused. I started to panic as I had seen him like this before. This was how he looked every morning when he was in cycle. I was screaming inside " Please please God, its not a new cycle starting! ". Its incredible how traumatised I felt at the thought of another CH cycle ...

All day I watched him like a hawk and couldnt go to work. The headache worsen into a typical migraine though thank God ! He started to feel nauseated followed by the classic photophobia and aura. I gave him an Imigran spray and some panadiene forte which worked within half an hour, reducing the building migraine into a more generalised dull headache.

24 hrs has now passed and he hasnt had a real shadow or any CH like headache so I think that was a false alarm. CH is such a horrible illness, it really traumatises not just the sufferer but the whole family.

I am lighting another candle and will pray for painfree days and nights for us all.

That kind of high anxiety is a regular feature for my supporters . At times ,more like always ;I regret their secondhand CH's and fearful pains. Hopefully the cycle holds off much, much longer . Bless you and Daniel . I pray for both of you .      phil h    :smt104

Oh Annette....  I'm sorry honey.

It brings tears to my eyes to read your post...you are such a wonderful supporter and wife.

This beast does throw frightening stuff out there....it scares us too.

Hang on...and please feel free to call me anytime. Much Love, Sherri    :smt022

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I feel so much better knowing that I am surrounded by friends who understand

I remember reading on ch.com that a ch cycle is like a prison term, you get locked in with the beast and keep having to fight rounds after rounds whether you want it or not !

It can be quite a traumatising experience. I dont know how you chronic cope the way you do. My hat off to you all, I think you are all so brave and courageous.

I really hope very very soon someone will stumble across the cure for this ailment, or a preventive that will work perfectly to stop all the hits.

Love you all

HUGS

PS: Yes, Jack, Daniel is a member here but he doesnt post as much as I do.
