Frustrations...Hi all...
I was not sure where to post this so I am going to do it here, since it is about being chronic and the frustration that goes along with that!
I just wanted to write this somewhere to get it out of my head.. I get so annoyed with people who do not understand where I come from even when they do have CH. Does that even make sense?
I was reading on CH.com on the alumni board about how bad narcotics are but no one seems to understand that there are some of us out there that have no other choice. Those that say how bad they are have oxygen that works for them or a preventative that lowers the number of headaches that they have and the intensity. But what if we do not have that?
I know that these meds are not first treatment actions but rather a last resort...
But how come people who have CH cannot understand that we deserve pain relief as much as they do? How can those that get hit not understand that we do not want this pain nor can we take it? How can they not understand why we would go this route?
Oh I get so frustrated. For people that can be so compassionate and understanding at times, other times they are so not. Shrooms and seeds are okay but not something legal and managed by a doctor.
I must be missing something...
Sorry, that was eating me inside and I needed to write it. You can ignore this post and that is fine but thanks for letting me write it!

Jill , We are a separate group . Chronic , med resistant . When I read CH.com , I get angry and feel totally separste from the chronics that respond well to meds ............ Everyone on that board is an expert on themselves ......... There is no one size fits all . You don't need thier approval to take whatever you need to survive your pain . Everyone's reponse to different meds can be different . I'm so tired of hearing about chronics that haven't had a bad hit in months due to meds . I'm happy for them , but I feel like I'm just not doing it right . Alot of people use strong pain meds for breakthrough pain . It's not popular to talk about on CH.com........... you get flamed , shamed and personal biasis about pain meds ......................... do what you got to do ................ I support you finding relief from your pain .................... phil h

i agree with you, i myself dont use pain killers to take away ch but i do use them on shadows, and the shitting dull pain you get left with after the hit, i use a fair amount of pain killers for that but not the hit its self. you do what ever works or at least helps to ease your pain... you dont need to F**k ask them you dont need them to say its ok !! Bollox you do what ever you need to survive, rant away your not the first to have this same rant and you wont be the last !
