no good for meAmitriptaline, citalipram, cipramil, verapimil, lithium, shrooms, zomig, tegretol, tramadol, frova heat (showers, packs etc) many many pain kills i don't think i can name them all, some work ok for shadows. i know there is more but cant think of any right now.
What works imigran/trex works about 65% of the time but has its draw backs and o2 works 85% of the time only if i get on it early enough. red bull/kicku work as long as you drink them quick enough and at the first sign of attack. thats it !

My attacks are generally during the night.
Soluble aspirin can work in the very early stages, as can high-strength Nurofen.
I find a cup of tea helps towards the end of an attack or, again, in the early stages.
Opening the window to let fresh air in is essential, but if it's noisy outside then it's counter-productive.
Sleep also works, when the pain is low enough or you're tired enough.
Being comfortable helps. My head is ultra-sensitive - pillows, cushions, the right pressure over the eye, the right amount of heat (usually my hand) over the eye all help in their own way.
Feeling warm; not too hot or cold; is good too.
However, in the middle of an attack, for me, nothing works other than sweating it out. Being comfortable with fresh air is vital in this period and absolutely no noise - not even the ticking of a watch - or light.

If fresh air works for you then you must try cold oxygen, may become your silver bullet !

Hey Ike
Just noticing that of the meds you listed were antidepressants ( Amitryptiline, Cipramil which is citalopram ). Apart from the fact they didnt work for your CH, were they given to you specifically for CH or for the depression associated with CH?
Just wondering.
Thanks for sharing Ike
