Short updateHello all,
Just a little update from me. Well, instead of moving my maternity leave forward and having to go back to work a month earlier, my senior boss has told me he'd rather me stay on my sick note and get full pay for the extra month (as I only get 25% on mat leave), but that I wasn't to feel like a prisoner in my own home and on my good days, they are happy for me to be out wandering in the shops or going to nct classes. Thank goodness. Perhaps my sanity will return soon (though we're not hopeful!). Still suffering with the carpal tunnel which can be very sore sometimes.
Can't wait for this all to be over soon!! 6 weeks 2 days to go.

That was very kind of your boss...and a wise idea financially.
Most definately on your good days, get out and move around a little-good for both body and mind. You're so close Em...before you know it, you will wish for a day alone to do what you want to...like shop alone, so you can concentrate, even eat a meal alone. Things are going to get very hectic with not much "you" time for awhile.
Its not an easy adjustment. Most new mothers crave to have just a few hours to take a nice, long, bath...go get their hair and nails done, whatever, undisturbed.
Try your best to appreciate this preparation time...before the work of the harvest so to speak. You once told me your a master organizer...this is a good time to do it. Maybe sit,and organize your desk, different drawers,without too much strain on yourself though.
This is only temporary, and you're about to enter the next phase in the blink of an eye. Sherri

Sounds like a no brainer to me...
Wont be long now just keep telling your self that ! soon it will all be worth it and you will have your little prince/princess here. That will make all this shit worth while.
Get out and do what you can to keep sane!!

Ah yes, I have a plan for all this time off. It does include some down time, but also time for things that I've always wanted to do and never got around to it. I'm going to start my Christmas baking nice and early, get all the presents bought and cards written nice and early.

You have a terrific attitude...though we ALL have our moments. Carrying a baby isn't easy.

No don't mind at all...already had sent it anyway  I love receiving letters...if you don't mind sending yours, I'd love to have it...so I can keep sending you cards even when baby arrives.
