Trigger point injectionsCurrently I'm getting trigger point injections . 3 days in a row , 2 days off , then 3 days in a row . This is a 6 month course of therapy . No steroids involved . Lidocaine ,bupivcaine ,mepivcaine and 1 or 2 other caines .The shots go into my temple ,forhead , around eyes , into the occipitals nerves , muscles......... every where but into trigeminal. Shots go down my neck and then into 2-3 spots in my back . It's incredible relief .......... some slight shadowind, but no K6 or higher on left side while following the protocal.................................. This week I got a k6 hit on the right side on three separate days .............. tha Dr. is now shooting both sides . He said it proves to problem is in the hypothalmus ,,,,,,,,,,,, Since getting shots on both sides nothing but low shadows ......... This going great . I'm being treated for trigeminal neuralgia - left cheek to jaw . A different kind and set of pain ,,,,, Neurontin and lidocaine gel has made that alittle better ........ I'm still dealing with HBP and I guess I had 3 TIA's in a 4 week period ..................... It has scared me enough to follow the DR's advise to stop working and chill out.................. I feel optomistic about my prognosis...... when I don't struggle to work , my BP stays calm , not triggering CH's , not increasing my BP ...... A vicious cycle . So here I am . I'm back and hopefully out of isolation . phil h

Hey Phil good to see you posting sorry i was a little late to this, didnt check the right email address often enough to see anyone had posted. when we first spoke on the phone the onther day i thought you were having gon injections but what your getting sounds even better ! im really sorry you had to have so much of a run through the mill like that but really hope they continue to work well for you. its not some thing ive heard of before so ive no real 'advise' but mia's are no good at all so please please listen to your dr and do as he says take the time off rest you really dont need the worry, you have my number feel free to call anytime. i really wish you the best with the injections please keep us posted, if i know you will be posting here i'll be here a few times a day everyday from now on.
